Assassin's Creed Unveils Bizarre Attack on Titan Crossover for Thanksgiving
In a bizarre collaboration that breaks usual forecasts, Ubisoft has unveiled an virtual collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, including complimentary bonus story content for Shadows players.
Peculiar Adventure Disclosed
According to the authorized statement, "An unusual encounter leads characters Naoe and Yasuke into a new adventure, where whispers of forbidden rituals and terrifying changes echo through the shadows." The plot introduces a "oddly attired woman named Ada" who tasks the duo with journeying into the Gemstone Grotto—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her ally from a clandestine group.
The questline concentrates on "bizarre experiments and a monstrous foe" and is available to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Familiar Places and Changes
The teaser highlights the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was previously where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through eras. The preview ends with a striking scene showing a character, probably the captive, changing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
Unique Prizes and Additional Features
Players who successfully complete the mission will receive an exclusive katana together with numerous objects hidden throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also features premium Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
- Titan-based attire for Yasuke
- Mikasa costume for Naoe
- Special weapons
- Survey Corps mount
Newest Free Story Addition
This update also introduces the game's latest complimentary story addition, titled "The Enigma." This lighthearted adventure pairs Naoe and Yasuke as they exchange characteristic techniques: Naoe reveals a performative variation of Yasuke's war kick, while Yasuke masters non-lethal stealth takedowns. Faithful to its name, "The Enigma" also includes a fresh environmental puzzle that may ultimately shed light on some unresolved questions from the main storyline.
